The USC Student Health Council aims to provide students with the academic, professional, and social skills that are critical for success in the healthcare industry. SHC serves as a bridge between students, alumni, Graduate Student Government of USC, the USC Price Alumni Association, affiliated undergraduate majors, and faculty & staff of the Sol Price School of Public Policy.
SHC helps members develop the skills and values that employers desire:
Initiative – Innovation – Leadership – Collaboration – Professionalism – Excellence
Through participation in SHC activities, members have the opportunity to gain hands-on insight into careers in health services management, finance, consulting, and academia. Members make meaningful contributions to their academic and professional communities and build a strong network of colleagues. Most importantly, members will have the opportunity to continue shaping the USC Master of Health Administration program into a national leader in health management and policy education through outreach, events, and program development.
